Mato and Koey

Editing again... a little more on this piece ^^

My mate, as described below, is part Oneida Native American and his totem is the bear. We discussed and I think the black bear is most suited to his personality. I am adopted by my family and therefore know nothing about my ancestral roots or heritage or anything at all. I've always had a strong interest and draw to wolves and was writing my own stories with my own characters before my family had internet. I have a rather strong interest in all animals and love to be around them. I've never known why. And when Mato and I are together, something almost always happens involving a sight of another creature - whether it be our resident hawks, a pretty bird, a turtle, snakes - fireflies even, they've become a bit of a symbol for me with Mato due to a few memorable and very personally special experiences, actually - we see a lot of the most fascinating creatures and things happen when we are together. My mate is Mato, the bear, and I represent myself as Koey, a black wolf. My mate calls me his Wolf "Mother Wolf."

I wanted to try my hand at a sort of "tribal," design. I've always loved how these look, even if this isn't the usual tribal appearance.

I was having a hard time coming up with a subject and wanted to experiment and loosen up more... I wanted to try drawing a bear again and of course thought of my special guy So I decided to add Koey in there and this is what happened.

Oh yeah, no refs at all!!

These are FUN. Like... a lot. I wanted to just keep drawing more of these but didn't know what to draw! Hoping to do more of these. Maybe I'll open some trades and offer tribal drawings slots if there's any interest.
