Appearance: Nars is not especially huge for her species, but she is bulked out in muscle that she is sure to stay in shape with. She is a taller female with a thick silvery mane and calculative green eyes. Her chest and shoulders are especially muscled.  She sports two feathers - a red tail hawk and great horned owl feathers are rolled into the dense fluff behind her ears.

Personality:

Vain, Exceeding in All Tasks - Nars is quite vain, but she only struts about around those she desires to impress. She has a thirst for being the very best at everything and anything, and she loves praise, though she is not fond of being the center of attention.

Emotionally Manipulative - Nars is able to shift personalities depending on whom she is around, and she has become very good at having several masks.  She strives to be noted and remembered, and it doesn't matter if it's for better or worse - if she can make a lasting impression, she will and the stronger the memory the better.

Promiscuous/flirty - She had no interest in a lifelong mate for the first few years of her life but has become very attached in more than one way to a female named Nayet.

Jealous - If cast aside or if someone else is placed above her for any reason, she won't feel very pleased withe decision.  She will not respect or befriend them unless to her advantage or unless she already has a predisposed appreciation for them.

Loves gossip and conflict - she used to be weary of raised voices, but she now loves to intervene and feel like she has control of anything that she can grasp.

Spy/Nosy - Nars is light on foot and an excellent tracker. She loves hearing gossip, though she doesn't typically repeat it if it's of sensitive nature - that much, she will hold trustworthy.

Likes: The scent of sagebrush (she often rolls in it to give her coat a sort of perfumed scent), being trusted with secrecy, Nayet, being in control/power positions.
Dislikes: Other flatfoot wolves, Summer heat, anyone who does not get out of her way and anyone who causes issue with her or any of her few close friends.





Pre-Group History/Backstory: Nars was raised by two young female wolves, Hexia and Naga. Her parents having had an illegitimate litter, Nars and the other pups were left to the mother's sister (Hexia) to care for as the parents ran away together. Her siblings (Ranger, Warren, Tyla and Vane) grew together for the first year of their life. Tyla was later claimed by an eagle.

Hexia and Naga were thrilled that the pups soon began to hunt small prey for themselves, although most of their efforts were unsuccessful. One eventful afternoon while hunting, a rogue wolf (Luther)* came through and terrified the pups. Though they believed they were safe, Hexia and Naga kept their eyes out for the wolf during the next several days. He returned, only to offer to fight Naga and kill the pups for Hexia. Naga backed down at Hexia's request and both eventually took him, unwillingly, as her temporary mate. When Hexia's litter was born, Naga took it upon herself to kill the rogue, which caused her great suffering as the rogue killed all the females in Hexia's litter. Afraid for the lives of her sister's pups, Naga ran as far as she could with Nars and her brothers before the male discovered their escape and tracked them. Naga took the pups to the edge of the treeline, but they were stopped by the rogue male before she could advise them.

He demanded only her brothers remain – he favored his sons and the less-stunning Vane.  He informed the terrified family that he felt nothing but trouble could come from the young female, and he threatened to kill Naga on the spot if Nars did not agree to flee. Nars turned and ran as hard and as far as she could in the direction that her aunt had told her.  Hexia had said that she had an old friend who she had known many years before, and Nars needed to find him. Nars memorized the name – Helei. Nars did eventually make it into someone's territory, although she had no idea who the mask of musky scents belonged to. She scoured the terrain for signs of recent life and she was able to blindly lead her way through the brush until she was spotted by 2 wolves, whom seemed to be searching for herbs. Nars approached them, terrified and they immediately noticed to her. Meek and afraid, she begged for them to help her, for she was searching for a wolf named Helei, and for safety. The wolves informed her that Helei was deceased, but that their son, Alaric, was their current alpha. Nars was taken in to see the alpha, and she mentioned that her aunt Hexia had, somehow, known Helei. Alaric, while appearing terribly disinterested, seemed to recognize the name.

Nars excitedly announces that she wants desperately to learn to hunt and to become a flatfoot – she knows that she is excellent with spying, finding information, and that she is able to appear as one personality to one individual, and a second to another. She tells Alaric how she wants to learn to hunt to sustain the pack for aiding in her own survival.

She proves her usefulness to Sioux and has become the first Flatfoot.  She spends her time growing and becoming stronger and smarter.  As soon as she reaches 3 years of age, she collects a band of trusted allies, some from each of the packs, and goes to murder the loner who took her birthpack.

She rips his head off as a trophy and hangs it over her den.

In-Group History: Having arrived a scared, young pup, Nars trained hard every day to distract herself from the terrifying memory of the male who kicked her from her familial pack.  Vowing to return to save her family, she became a Flatfoot for Sioux, and has worked hard to build up a respectable association.  It gives her great thrill to know all she can about the other packs while also serving her own agenda. She has made few close and true friends, but the two she seems to care most for and find herself oddly fond of are Nayet of Sioux and Elysia of Druid.  She returned to her birthpack in the beginning of the Summer and killed Luther, the tyrant male.

After serving Sioux for several months, Nars become titled as Nars: Raven of the Winds, as her new and proper title and ranking up to Gamma.  Nars now continues to work diligently as a Gamma (master) Sioux Flatfoot, and resides in her den that sits far from the heart of Sioux.  She decorates the trees all around her with the spines and skulls of every kill she makes, including Luther's skull, which sits at the entrance to the den.


As Flatfoot of Sioux, Nars has learned some special secrets of the other packs as well as her own.


Nars quietly confirmed her support of the Resistance, and was pleased when the current Sioux alpha, Alaric, was finally slaughtered.  When Hera was named Alpha of Sioux, Nars was offered the position of Regent Alpha to the pack.  Hera left for 3 months to grow and become the best suitable adult to lead Sioux, and left the pack in the capable paws of Nayet and Nars as co-Regents.

Nars became dependent on attention when Nayet seemed to move emotionally away for a time.  Nars spent these months as a co-regent of Sioux at her most promiscuous.

At the end of October, 2017, Nars had her first litter - an accidental bunch of pups produced between herself and her cousin, Leith.  Nars persuasively had encouraged Leith to cheat on his mate with her, and Nars fully recognized her pregnancy and acknowledged the father the month she gave birth.

Not long after, Nars realized (thanks to timing) that her litter had been sired by her own cousin, Leith.  In secret, Nars sent his wife, Nahimana on a Flatfoot mission while acting as Regent.  She took care of Nahimana's children in their mother's stead, and murdered Leith the night before Nahimana was to return - out of humiliation and hatred.  His blood was beneath hers, and here he had tainted her children.  Covering her tracks, Nars fled Sioux out of shame for her litter's bloodline.  Nars lives on as a loner, moving from place to place, until she can find a new land to settle in, both hopeful and distant from the idea of meeting with her own offspring one day.
